Mr. Silverman graduated in 1984 from the University of Florida, where he earned his B.A. Degree. He attended the Dickinson School of Law, now the Penn State Dickinson School of Law, and received his J.D. Degree in 1987.

Since 1987, Mr. Silverman has been in practice successfully prosecuting personal injury, product liability, premises liability and consumer protection claims. He takes an active role in litigating and resolving cases at Silverman & Fodera, PC. Having extensive experience in pharmaceutical litigation, Mr. Silverman played a significant role in the Fen-Phen litigation, in which he resolved over $200 million in claims throughout the country. Mr. Silverman continues his work in pharmaceutical litigation, representing numerous claimants injured by Vioxx.

In addition to his work in personal injury and pharmaceuticals, Mr. Silverman has represented a number of children in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas who were exposed to and poisoned by lead-based paint hazards. An experienced and well-rounded litigator, he successfully obtained what is believed to be the largest settlement in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, over $1.3 Million, for a child who was injured due to lead-based paint. Mr. Silverman was also lead counsel in the Hurt v. Philadelphia Housing Authority class action, which resolved in November of 2005 and forced the PHA to notify its tenants regarding the dangers of lead-based paint, to eliminate lead-based paint hazards to which children were being exposed, and to make lead-safe no fewer than 100 public housing units per year for the next 30 years in order to greatly reduce the number of Philadelphia public housing stock which contain lead paint. Mr. Silverman continues his work in lead-based paint actions, obtaining settlements of $700,000 and $550,000 in early 2007 alone.

Mr. Silverman is a member of The Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, The Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Philadelphia Bar Association, The Pennsylvania Bar Association, The New Jersey Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

He is a member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar and the New Jersey Bar and has been admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania as well as New Jersey Federal Court.
